The OBA is saddened to report the death of Ruth Dickins, 70-77, and offers its condolences to her husband Chris, to her sister Jill and to her family and friends.

I would like to pass on some sad news about one of the 1970-1977 cohort of former BGS pupils. Her name (at school) was Ruth Dickens, and she was probably most familiar as the gifted musician among us who could make wonderful heartfelt sounds emerge from a violin. I am told that she died recently, from ovarian cancer, at the age of 50 years. I'm sure others in my/our year would want to know about her passing and join her sister Jill (another former BGS pupil) and the rest of Ruth's family in mourning her loss.
